Την εβδομάδα Drone στο Άμστερνταμ, η Audi, η Airbus και η Italdesign παρουσιάζουν για πρώτη φορά το πρωτότυπο "Pop.Up Next".

Αυτή η καινοτόμος ιδέα για ένα ταξί που πετάει, συνδυάζει ένα αυτοκινούμενο ηλεκτρικό αυτοκίνητο με ένα drone που έχει επιβάτη. "Τα ιπτάμενα ταξί είναι προ των πυλών. Εμείς στην Audi είμαστε πεπεισμένοι για αυτό", λέει ο Δρ. Bernd Martens, μέλος του διοικητικού συμβουλίου Audi και πρόεδρος της θυγατρικής Audi Italdesign. " Όλο και περισσότεροι άνθρωποι μετακινούνται σε πόλεις. Και όλο και περισσότεροι άνθρωποι θα κινούνται χάρη στην αυτοματοποίηση. Στους μελλοντικούς ηλικιωμένους, τα παιδιά και τα άτομα χωρίς άδεια οδήγησης θα χρειαστεί να χρησιμοποιήσουν βολικά ρομποτικά ταξί. Αν κατορθώσουμε να κατανοήσουμε ευδιάκριτα την κυκλοφορία μεταξύ των δρόμων και του εναέριου χώρου, οι άνθρωποι και οι πόλεις μπορούν να ωφεληθούν εξίσου".

Η Audi διεξάγει δοκιμές στη Νότια Αμερική σε συνεργασία με τη θυγατρική της Airbus, Voom. Οι πελάτες κάνουν κράτηση πτήσεων με ελικόπτερο στην Πόλη του Μεξικού ή στο Σάο Πάολο, ενώ ένα Audi είναι έτοιμο για το ταξίδι προς ή από τον τόπο προσγείωσης. "Με το Pop.Up εξετάζουμε ταυτόχρονα τα όρια του τεχνικά εφικτού. Το επόμενο βήμα είναι ένα πρωτότυπο πλήρους μεγέθους για να πετάξει και να οδηγηθεί", δήλωσε ο Δρ Martens.
