Παγκόσμια θλίψη για τον Εμιλιάνο Σάλα. Το Σάββατο (16/2) στο Προγκρέσο, όπου ζούσε η οικογένειά του, έγινε η κηδεία του 28χρονου επιθετικού, ο οποίος απεβίωσε μετά την πτώση του αεροσκάφους που τον μετέφερε από τη Νάντη στην Κάρντιφ, έχοντας μόλις πάρει μεταγραφή στην ομάδα της Premier League.

Στις 19 Ιανουαρίου η Κάρντιφ είχε ολοκληρώσει την πιο δαπανηρή μεταγραφή της ιστορίας της, δίνοντας 17 εκατ. ευρώ στη Ναντ για χάρη του Αργεντινού φορ, Εμιλιάνο Σάλα. Δύο μέρες μετά, το αεροσκάφος στο οποίο είχε επιβιβαστεί ο 28χρονος, "πετώντας" για την πρωτεύουσα της Ιουλίας, εξασφανίστηκε από τα ραντάρ.
Ύστερα από έρευνες που κράτησαν για μέρες, στις 4 Φεβρουαρίου το Piper PA-46 Malibu βρέθηκε στον βυθό της θάλασσας, στη Μάγχη. Το βράδυ της Πέμπτης (8/2) έγινε επισήμως γνωστό ότι ο Σάλα βρέθηκε νεκρός. Η σορός του μεταφέρθηκε στην Αργεντινή, όπου το Σάββατο (16/2) τελέστηκε η κηδεία του...
